AED Defibrillators
Hospitals,
emergency
medical
services
(EMS) and
minimally-trained
lay
responders
rely on
Automated
External Defibrillators (AEDs) in
the most
urgent
cardiac
emergencies.
General Medical Devices Company markets
defibrillator
products for
all tiers of
a
multi-level
emergency
response
system, from
trained lay
responders
to emergency
medical
technicians
and
paramedics,
to
hospital-based
caregivers.
These
products are
designed to
adapt to the
medical
knowledge
and training
of the
responder as
well as the
physical
needs of the
patient and
the
surrounding
emergency
conditions,
enabling
fast, smooth
transitions
from the
scene
through EMS
to treatment
at the
hospital.
As a professional first responder, the public counts on
EMS to
be there for them when they need it most. And EMS have to be able to
count on their equipment to be there for them too. An AED
and and an
effective
CPR can
increase the
chances of
survival
dramatically. EMS have
to be
prepared to
respond in
an instant
with their
AED and CPR
readiness
mode.
Since Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA)
is the
number one
killer in
America,
killing more
than 400,000
people a
year.
SCA can strike anyone,
anywhere, at any time, and in most cases, without warning. In addition, emergency responders are themselves put in harm's
way on a daily basis. The physical and psychological demands on
our nation's front-line defenders are considerable and result in
an unfortunate number of lives lost to SCA. In fact, the NFPA
attributes over 50% of firefighters' deaths to SCA.
As you know, sudden Cardiac Arrest is caused by chaotic
electrical activity in the heart and can only be treated with
defibrillation. Recent advances in modern technology have made
cost-effective Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)
accessible to all first responders. Recent
advances in modern technology have made cost-effective Automated
External Defibrillators (AEDs) accessible to all first
responders. Unfortunately, budgetary constraints have meant that
many squads don't have the equipment they need to save victims
of this treatable condition called sudden cardiac arrest. Now,
there is something you can do to improve the odds dramatically
for you and the public you protect. Defibtech has designed an
AED for you. Defibtech Lifeline AEDs are particularly well
suited for the harsh conditions that are frequently encountered
by first responders every day. Defibtech Lifeline AED
defibrillators are rugged, low-maintenance, and extremely cost
effective. From the built-in carrying handle designed to
accommodate even a gloved hand, to the non-slip rubberized
surfaces on a hardened lightweight case, Defibtech AEDs are
professional grade equipment you can count on at price you can
afford. Intuitive and practical real-world design simplifies
operation even during the most difficult rescues.
